NFL TV Coverage Maps Week 1 for Pittsburgh/Youngstown/Wheeling Markets

Another season of professional football is upon us!  As is recent tradition the action starts with a game on Thursday night with the defending champion New Orleans Saints hosting the Minnesota Vikings.  The game is on NBC at 8pm with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth on the call.  Sunday afternoon will be a very unusual one in the Pittsburgh market.  Ordinarily, NFL broadcast rules would compel the off network, in this case CBS, to not show a game opposite the Steelers at home.  However, as the Steelers play at 1pm and CBS does not have any late games due to the US Open tennis men’s final, KDKA will be permitted to show a 1pm game.  It will be Cincinnati at New England with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms, and that is the game also being shown in Wheeling.  Youngstown will see Cleveland at Tampa Bay with Spero Dedes and Rich Gannon on the call.  All area Fox affiliates are on the same page. At 1pm is Atlanta at Pittsburgh with Dick Stockton, Jim Mora, and Charles Davis and 4:15pm is Green Bay at Philadelphia with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.  The Sunday night game at 8:20 on NBC is Dallas at Washington with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth.  Monday Night Football is another recent tradition to be a Week 1 doubleheader on ESPN.  At 7pm will be Baltimore at New York Jets with Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden.  At 10:15pm the nightcap is San Diego at Kansas City with Brad Nessler and Trent Dilfer.  As always this info is courtesy of the506.com and subject to change.  Enjoy the games!
