Speaking personally, its disappointing they are one of the teams that doesn’t play a full East schedule and its Akron they don’t play.  Coupled with the Kent game being at home they don’t have a road game ultra close to where I live.  Oh well.  Also interesting to move Toledo to where its not the last game of the season.  Interesting see also I’m not a big fan of that move, but I’m sure TV is involved since its for sure on the ESPN family of networks.

In other Bowling Green news the Lady Falcons beat Miami this evening to conclude the regular season and clinch the #1 seed at the upcoming MAC Tournament, giving them a bye to the quarterfinals which will be in Cleveland next Wednesday.    Also according to the website the BG men’s team will be seeded either 9th or 10th in the upcoming tournament depending on their game later this week at Ohio.  Either way it means playing a 1st round game on the road to try and make it to Cleveland for the quarterfinals.  Not taking into consideration the 7th or 8th seeded team they would be visiting Monday evening its probably best to lose and be the 10th seed.  That way if they did make the quarters they could play the 2nd seed which will be the winner of the inferior West Division, whereas if they were 9th they would be looking at the #1 seed (the winner of Friday’s Kent/Akron game).  Not that anyone in the MAC is invincible by any stretch but I’m just trying to chart the easiest path to the semifinals next Friday night for which I will be at liberty to attend personally 🙂
