NFL TV Distribution Maps for Pittsburgh/Youngstown/Wheeling Markets for Week 1

Greetings all! Much joy heard across the land another NFL season is upon us! Reprising a habit from last season I will attempt to post weekly the TV schedule for my home base area around East Liverpool. Its a busy week with a greater than normal number of primetime games of course starting Thursday night with Tennessee @ Pittsburgh on NBC. Al Michaels will be joined in the booth this season by Cris Collinsworth. Sunday afternoon all CBS affiliates will show 1pm games, and there will be no home team on Fox opposite blackouts (Cleveland for example will have a game opposite the Browns) because of US Open tennis men’s final late afternoon. The local market is split with Pittsburgh showing Kansas City @ Baltimore with Ian Eagle and Rich Gannon on the call while Wheeling and Youngstown will show Denver @ Cincinnati with Gus Johnson and Dan Fouts describing the game. On Fox at 1pm all local affiliates will show Brett Favre (er, Minnesota) @ Cleveland with Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick on the call and at 4:15pm all local Fox affiliates will show Washington @ NY Giants with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Sunday night on NBC will be Chicago @ Green Bay with double duty for Michaels and Collinsworth. Monday night is an ESPN doubleheader. The first game will be Buffalo @ New England at 7:30pm with Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden calling the game and the 10:30pm nightcap will be San Diego at Oakland with Mike Greenburg and Mike Golic on the mic. As always this information courtesy of the506.com and subject to change. As I did last year I will endeavour to post updates around Friday or Saturday as necessary. Enjoy the season!
