Lady Falcons Get Big Win At Kent

Bowling Green travelled east to open conference play and got a big early win by defeating the Golden Flashes, who figure to be BG’s biggest competitor for the East Division regular season title.  They got down early 20-7 but made a huge run in the middle of the 1st half and led by 10 at halftime.  Kent made a run to get close, but never made it back to even steven, and BG made two huge 3’s in their possessions between 1 and 2 minutes to go to seal the victory.

It was a solid team effort on the stat sheet but what really opened up the offense was a couple deep 3’s hit by sophomore point guard Tracey Prontius, who is tasked with replacing Kate Achter.  Of course the games this time of year are just for positioning; what will really matter are the games at Quicken Loans Arena in mid-March.  But it was a nice win to get for sure.  Forward Falcons!
