California Woman Can Be Sued For Pulling Crash Victim Out Of Car

So ruled an appeals court panel:

Outrageous!  If she thought the car was smoking and could catch fire, she did what a reasonable person would do in pulling the victim out of the car.  It is of course unfortunate that the victim was paralyzed by that act, and perhaps the Samaritan did it more roughly than should be.  Of course, if she really thought the car was going to catch fire, should would be more concerned with a speedy extraction than a comfortable one.  At any rate, to whatever extent the victim is entitled to compensation, irregardless of how careless the Samaritan was, it would seem to me the ultimate fault for causing injury was not from the Samaritan.  It was from the driver of the vehicle.
