Huge 4th Quarter Lifts Steelers Over Cowboys

Pittsburgh’s offense looked completely inert for most of the game, and when they failed on two plays from the 1 yard line early in the 4th quarter, it was starting to look like it was Dallas’ day.  But the defense stepped up, Jeff Reed got the inside english off the upright (it appeared most of the day that the homestanding Reed forgot that cold weather kicks to the open end of Heinz Field always veer to the right), the defense got another stop, and Roethlisberger led them down the field for the tying TD with 2:04 left.  Unable to simply run the clock out after they had to start the drive on their own 16 because the Steelers had all 3 timeouts, Romo put the ball in the air.  He and Witten were not on the same page, Deshea Townshend jumped in for the pick 6 and the Steelers win.  Huge win, as it puts them at 10-3 and in a position to clinch the division with a win at Baltimore next Sunday dinnertime.  With the Jets losing in San Francisco they are also in strong position for getting a bye seed in the AFC if they do win the division.  As for Dallas, they have 3 tough games left and they may need to win all of them to make the playoffs.
