World News Tonight Coming to Bowling Green State University

For their broadcast Tuesday October 7th and their coverage of the Presidential debate that night.  Part of a bus tour that Charles Gibson et al are doing of battleground states.  Should be some nice exposure for the University, and hopefully they find some students that are able to articulate themselves on camera.  Below is a release I got from the Alumni Association:

Tune in to BGSU featured on national television

Tune in to the ABC network Tuesday, October 7 to see your Bowling Green State University featured on national television. ABC’s “World News with Charles Gibson” will broadcast live in front of University Hall. 

Gibson also will host a panel of BGSU students to watch the presidential debate. Following the debate, he will discuss the issues and get the students’ reactions as part of ABC’s post-debate coverage.

Check your local listings for the broadcast times.

Those of you who live close to Bowling Green might like to watch the live broadcast of the “World News with Charles Gibson” on campus. The show will be broadcast starting at 6 p.m. from the west side of University Hall. An area will be set up for spectators.

The broadcast of the debate and the post-debate discussion between Gibson and the students may be viewed on large screens in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom at the Union. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and seats are available first come, first served. Additional seating will be available in the Union Theater.

The BGSU community is proud to be a part of this historic event.

We hope you watch the debate and the post-debate broadcast to see the caliber of students who are representing the University.
