If McCain can be reasonably assured such a selection would not cause a right wing revolt, the idea makes a great deal of sense. But my hunch is it would cause a right win revolt. They are not going to like one bit voting to put a pro-choicer “a heartbeat away” from the Oval Office. Hell, some probably still have those “Sore-Loserman” t-shirts in their dresser from 8 years ago.
