It will be on expanded basic cable for the the upcoming football and basketball seasons in Big Ten states serviced by Comcast (parts of all of them except Iowa). In other parts of the country Comcast can put the network on its sports tier, and after that first season they are free to put it on digital tiers in Big Ten country. And Comcast is only paying $0.70 per cable subscriber in rights fees, not the $1.10 that BTN wanted. Still, its on basic cable for at least one season. Now if Comcast would only add ESPNU to the sports tier where I live . . .
